Seven closely spaced forward ratios suit lightweight rear-wheel-drive cars with a narrow engine power band. The sequential design uses straight-cut gears and a modular cluster, and is intended for Type 9 or QBE60G replacement applications. Quaife lists the unit at approximately 33 kg.
