VIS Motorsport Oil Pump Freewheel Sprocket for EA113 Engines. 

A common failure point of the 2.0L TFSI EA113 Engine is the balance shaft assembly, over time these wear and result in a seized/failed balance shaft assembly, a cost effective method to avoid this issue is to fit the VIS Motorsport Freewheel Sprocket, this simple device disconnects the rear shaft and as such, deletes the balance shaft assembly (from rotation/drive). 

It is an item which can be fitted by a competent mechanic, and carried out with the engine still in the car.
