We have proven on many occasions just how well the G25-550 turbo works on the 1.8T 20v Engine, providing rapid spool earlier in the rev range compared to the older generation of turbos, yet still being able to deliver the headline power figures we all want.
Engine spec and hardware will greatly influence the final power figure, but in our experience this turbo is suited for anyone looking between 400-500bhp using pump fuel, and up to 550bhp for extreme builds utilising race fuel and direct port Methanol Injection.
It is our preference to use an External Wastegate setup, so this is the spec we supply.

The G-Series G25-550 and the G25-660 turbochargers are compatible with 1.4L – 3.0L engine displacements and capable of producing up to 550 and 660 horsepower. G Series 25 turbochargers are smaller and outflow all comparable products on the market.

25 classifies the size of the frame. The remaining 3 digits identify the max horsepower rating of the turbocharger. (ie 550)
